Savaria was a Claudian colony in Upper Pannonia. While Savaria provided recruits for the Second Legion Adiutrix, it also furnished them for other legions after the Second had left for Britain. So the man commemorated on this stone may just as well have belonged to the Twentieth Legion. Latin
