L(ucius) Camulius L(uci) f(ilius) Stelatina (tribu) Albanus Taurinus
Lucius Camulius Albanus, son of Lucius, of the Stellatine voting-tribe, from the Taurine district.
The Taurini lived in north Italy, around Augusta Taurinorum (Turin). They were Celts, and the nomen Camulius comes from the name of the Celtic god Camulus. Here, as in the case of Lovesius (1999.6.47), a provincial name has been used to form a Roman nomen. Very likely Camulius served in the Twentieth Legion and lived in the first century AD. Latin
